Sonia Foday is a public relations apprentice in the media and campaigns team at Nesta.
She loves capturing people’s stories through multimedia, and loves to write. Foday started a travel group called A De Kam Salone (“I’m Coming To Sierra Leone”), which aims to change the narrative of Sierra Leone whilst uniting its diaspora. She serves as a member of the advisory board for Smiling Through Light, which works with a network of women to provide clean, reliable and sustainable energy in Sierra Leone. She is passionate about building a better Sierra Leone through supporting the organisations’ growth and is leading their communications efforts. Sonia has also created Black In Time, a podcast designed to educate people on black people’s pasts, while examining how history affects us today.
