Staying safe in a surveillance state?
Dazzle up with The Dazzle Club at their anti-surveillance camouflage trolley and test your looks against facial recognition technology. Participate in a silent walk around the festival and contemplate the complex networks of surveillance around you.
The Dazzle Club is an artist collaboration between AiR and Yoke Collective that questions technologies of surveillance in public space. We hide in plain sight using CV Dazzle, a camouflage technique devised by artist Adam Harvey, to draw awareness to being watched and build new expressions of community creativity and trust. The Dazzle Club has been featured widely in national and international media including by Reuters, BBC, i-D, and The Observer. Exhibitions include MÁSCARAS, Galeria Municipal do Porto, March 2020.
