The wood between the worlds
In a future typified by hyper-connectivity – of processes, of people, of things – how can we happen upon anything? If play requires anything it’s a willingness to spontaneously de- and reconstruct social bonds. Will sees neither technological advance, nor its stalling, as productive of more play – we will have to seek our fun in the woods between these worlds.
Will Self is the author of 22 books, some of which have been translated into 22 languages.
Will is also a prolific journalist for publications in the UK and around the world, and a frequent broadcaster on the BBC.
He holds the Chair of Contemporary Thought at Brunel University.
